$1500 Anthony C. Fortunski, P.E. Memorial Grant
One (1) Grant/$1000/One Year

MSPE members, Lawrence Institute of Technology and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers support this grant. Preference is given to a student attending Lawrence Technological University, majoring in manufacturing engineering. Applicant should demonstrate an interest in general fields of manufacturing and industry.

$1500 Robert E. Folmsbee, P.E. Memorial Grant
One (1) Grant/$1000/One Year

This grant is awarded to a top ranking student interested in pursuing a career in construction engineering. Preference is given to a construction engineering student interested in general fields of construction engineering.

$1500 McNamee, Porter & Seeley/U of M/John C. Seeley, P.E., Memorial Scholarship
One (1) Grant/$1500/One Year

McNamee, Porter & Seeley and the University of Michigan (U of M) College of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department, have established a memorial scholarship in memory of John C. Seeley, P.E., to be awarded to a civil engineering student on the basis of scholastic achievement and demonstrated interest in civil engineering and the engineering profession. Preference is given to a student in sanitary engineering, although any civil engineering student may qualify. MSPE will select the recipient with advice from the Chair of the Civil Engineering Department at the University.

John C. Seeley, P.E., was the Managing Partner of McNamee, Porter & Seeley, Engineers and Architects in Ann Arbor. He began his career at the firm in 1936 and became a partner in 1948. He was noted for his outstanding engineering designs. He directed innovative, award-winning designs on engineering projects in major cities in the Midwest. Seeley graduated from U of M with a BSCE in 1934 and a MSCE in 1936. He was a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Phi Gamma Phi Honorary Societies. Mr. Seeley passed away on May 18, 1986.

McNamee, Porter & Seeley has been a full service company since 1914, specializing in the design, planning and construction of municipal works, industrial projects and advanced research and technology development in sanitary engineering.

The U of M College of Engineering was officially established in 1895 but its origins date back to 1853 when its first engineering degree was awarded in 1857. The College has eleven engineering departments, and grants Baccalaureate Degrees in fourteen areas, eleven of which are accredited.

$3000 MSPE Abrams Grant
One (1) Grant/$3000/One Year/Civil or Surveying Engineering

This grant is available to a top ranking student interested in pursuing a career in civil or surveying engineering and is enrolled in an ABET accredited program at a Michigan college or university.

Abrams is a pioneer in aerial surveying and offers complete services in aerial surveys, digital mapping and remote sensing. Abrams recognizes the tremendous technological demand facing our nation in the coming decade. Through programs such as this, Abrams seeks to aid qualified students.

$2000 MSPE Undesignated Grant
One (1) Grant/$2000/One Year

Funding for this award comes from contributions made to the MSPE Scholarship Trust Fund by members, chapters and firms interested in aiding qualified students to pursue a career in engineering.

This grant is awarded to a top ranking student enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program at a Michigan college or university. The grant may be renewable for a second year with the approval of the MSPE Scholarship Trust. Renewal will be based on academic performance and approval of the Dean.

$1500 MSPE Auxiliary Grant
One (1) Grant/$1500/One Year

This award is funded by the Auxiliary Members of MSPE for a student interested in pursuing a career in engineering. Preference is given to a son/daughter of an MSPE member, but is not a requirement to apply.
