NSPE is currently accepting scholarship
applications for the following:
1. NSPE Auxiliary Scholarship: Female High School senior entering an
ABET-accredited engineering program.
$1,000 a year for four years
The recipient of this scholarship may attend the college or university
of
her choice (the program must be accredited by the Engineering
Accreditation
Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).
The
scholarship is awarded strictly on the basis of achievement. Deadline:
Dec.1, 2004
2. Virginia D. Henry Memorial Scholarship: Female High School senior
entering an ABET-accredited engineering program. $1,000 for
freshman year
The recipient of this scholarship may attend the college or university
of
her choice (the program must be accredited by the Engineering
Accreditation
Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).
The
scholarship is awarded strictly on the basis of achievement. Deadline:
Dec.
1, 2004

3. The Maureen L. & Howard N. Blitman Scholarship to Promote
Diversity in
Engineering will be awarded to a high school senior from an ethnic
minority
going into an ABET-accredited engineering program at a four-year college
or
university: $5000. Deadline: March 1, 2005.
4. The Paul H. Robbins, PE Honorary Scholarship will be awarded to
an
outstanding sophomore, in an ABET-accredited engineering program, for
disbursement during the junior year: $10,000. Deadline March 1, 2005.
5. The Steinman Fellowship will be awarded to a senior from the
NSPE North Central Region (IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND, SD) who will graduate
from an ABET-accredited engineering program and enter a graduate program
in engineering: $10,000. Deadline March 1, 2005.
6. The Milton F. Lunch Memorial Internship will provide meaningful
summer
employment at the Victor O. Schinnerer Company in Bethesda, Maryland, to
a student who has completed two years of a four-year degree in an
ABET-accredited engineering program: Stipend. Deadline January 15, 2005
7. The William R. Kimel Engineering Scholarship supports students from
the
states of Kansas and Missouri, who are in the junior year of a four-year
ABET-accredited engineering program: $2500. Deadline March 1, 2005.
